ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: faith-based local organizations; that can implement activities in multiple project implementation regions.

After careful consideration, we have made some revisions to the Terms of Reference (TOR). Therefore, we kindly request all organizations who have already submitted their EOI to revise their application as per the revised TOR and resubmit it accordingly.

SUMMARY OF KEY INTERVENTIONS:

Involvement and work with diversified religious and faith institutions is mandatory; Advise and closely support HIV-positive clients with faith related issues interfering with treatment adherence to enable them to adhere to treatment by properly taking ART and treatment of other associated diseases (comorbidities); Promote social and religious values among the community to meet the aim of the project; Strengthen Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization (ACSM) carried out with public health organizations to involve and engage faith-based communities; Work with and utilize the available platforms (religious media, religious gatherings, national holy days celebrations, etc. to convey messages for people living with HIV (messages that promote both early initiation of treatment as well as remaining adherent to treatment while keeping with faith and faith-healing process at the same time; Identify challenges and bottlenecks related to spirituality and faith, that can hamper the provision of quality ART services and support clients to adhere to ARV treatments for lifelong; Enhance and strengthen the system of multidirectional referrals and linkages between healing sites communities and health facilities and vice versa to ensure uninterrupted HIV service and continuum of care services; Engage as program advocates for HIV testing of spouses/partners and siblings of persons living with HIV to know their HIV status, and immediately initiate ARV treatment if found HIV positive; Distribute relevant IEC/SBCC materials (adherence to treatment and following faith healing at the same time) and disseminate through TV advertisements and radio spots.
